Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is on and your Ani-Pin is powered on. Open the Ani-Pin app, tap "Add Device" and follow the on-screen instructions. Your Ani-Pin should appear in the list of available devices. Tap on it to connect. The pairing process typically takes 10-30 seconds.
The Ani-Pin app supports .GIF, .JPG, .PNG, and .WEBP formats. The app will automatically optimize them for the display. For best results, use square images (1:1 aspect ratio) with a resolution of 128x128 pixels or higher. Animated GIFs work great and will loop continuously on your Ani-Pin.
A full charge provides 6-8 hours of continuous display, depending on the brightness setting and animation complexity. Static images consume less power than animated GIFs. The device charges fully in about 1 hour using the included USB-C cable. You'll receive low battery notifications through the app.
The Ani-Pin is water-resistant (IPX4), meaning it can handle light rain or splashes. However, it is not waterproof and should not be submerged in water. Avoid wearing it while swimming, showering, or in heavy rain. If it gets wet, dry it immediately with a soft cloth.
Currently, Ani-Pin is available exclusively on Amazon. You can find the link on our Products page. We're working on expanding to other retailers and our own online store in the future.
Your Ani-Pin can store between 50-200 images or GIFs, depending on their file size and complexity. The app will show you how much storage space you have remaining. You can easily delete old images to make room for new ones.
First, make sure both devices have Bluetooth enabled and are within 10 feet of each other. Try restarting both your phone and Ani-Pin. If that doesn't work, clear the Bluetooth cache on your phone (Android: Settings > Apps > Bluetooth > Storage > Clear Cache). You can also try "forgetting" the device in your phone's Bluetooth settings and pairing again.
You can absolutely use your own images! The Ani-Pin app allows you to upload any image from your phone's gallery, take new photos with your camera, or choose from our curated collection. You can also create your own pixel art or download images from the internet (respecting copyright laws).
Firmware updates are handled automatically through the Ani-Pin app. When an update is available, you'll receive a notification. Make sure your Ani-Pin is connected and has at least 50% battery before starting an update. The process typically takes 5-10 minutes and your device should not be disconnected during this time.
Ani-Pin comes with a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects and hardware failures under normal use. The warranty does not cover damage from water, drops, or misuse. For warranty claims, please contact our support team with your purchase information and a description of the issue.
